Can you feel the days getting longer?

(This was posted 7 months, 1 week, 7 hours, 41 minutes's ago.)

Yesterday (December 21st 2009) was the shortest day (Winter Solstice).

That means that we are officially on our way back to long summer evenings...

We are now rapidly approaching June 21st (Summer Solstice) which is the longest day!

For those that are particularly interested (I think that is geeks like me) each day will be up to 7 or 8 mins longer now but apparently it is not a uniform increase...

Other fun dates for your diary for the UK in 2010;

Feb. 14th, St. Valentine’s Day – It’s a Sunday so that weekend will be busy so you better get booked now for your favourite restaurant!

Mar. 28th, British Summertime commences – Yeah!
Oct. 23rd, British Summertime ends – thought let’s face it, we are not likely to regard it as summer at the end of October!

Dec. 25th, CHRISTMAS DAY (Saturday)
Dec. 26th, BOXING DAY (Sunday)
Dec. 27th, BANK HOLIDAY (Monday)
Dec. 28th, BANK HOLIDAY (Tuesday)

And before you know it we will be looking squarely at 2011!
